Our client is a forward-thinking company providing cutting-edge services, and products, and they wanted to expand their digital presence with bold mobile innovation. However, they needed specialized expertise in cross-platform app development, which Omnilab Enterprise Solutions was akin to.
The 6-month-long project was a success and hence this React Native case study. Our team ensured that their vision combined with the right technology.
During the 5th month of the project, several of the features became fan-favorites.
Being a loyal fan of Flutter’s hot reload features we suggested it to them as that would allow us to deploy rapid testings and iterations. However, it was their request to develop the app using React Native since they are more accustomed to JavaScript. And, our team happily went forward with React Native and needless to say – choosing React Native kept things under their budget.

Backend: Node.js bought scalability and made real-time data processing super easy
Database: MongoDB offered the much-needed flexibility in handling the large datasets.

1. An amazing cross-platform compatible app providing a seamless experience both across Android and iOS. Most importantly, with spotless scripting and single codebase.
2. Clean UI/UX + AR: Super clean user interface providing easy access to product details, purchase buttons, customer reviews and A NIFTY purple ....
“View in AR” button that activates the AR function when product images are hovered. We also gave them an option to enable a “Tap to View in AR” button on product images - this they can do anytime and +35 hours of training was provided on how to enable and disable features.
5. An immersive AR experience allowed users to explore the latest products in an engaging way - this was something that drove over 60% customer engagement in their retail joint.
6. Integrated analytics provided their sales department with valuable insights from user behavior. Due to privacy concerns from our client side, we are not yet able to post the metrics and dashboard images. But we will share them by December, 2024.
Personalized user dashboards were implemented offering users with customized views of products and items in their retail store. Real-time sales notification along with push notifications was inaugurated into the app that gives users latest updates and flash deals.
The app launch made our cross-platform app development project a major success - and why shouldn’t it be?! We gave them the app’s key differentiators - the nifty AR feature and the personalized shopping experience.
User engagement leaped to 60% right within the first week of the app launch!
